After the first Professor Layton and the Curious Village,
I was siked to discover the second part, The Diabolical Box.
The story takes place in Dropstone a village and on a
train, the Molentary Express in different compartments.
Almost every person on the train has got a puzzle for you
and the puzzles are brainteasers just like in the first game.

A good friend of Layton had the Diabolical Box in his
possession and opened the box. Layton and Luke went
over to visit him, but found him dead on the floor of his
home. The story goes, that when you open the box you’ll
die, but is that really the truth and nothing but the truth?

Every night before I go to sleep I’m solving some puzzles
and go to sleep when I can’t figure out one. Sleep on it and
maybe I’ll find the answer the next day…or not! hehehe.
Some of the puzzles are very easy to solve, others are
hard!! Or just too simple and I’m thinking too hard on it.

I was very positive about the first Layton, well I was annoyed
by Luke and he’s still in there and just as in the first part Layton
is still reminded of puzzles in every situation, but hey on the
other hand I can say I missed it a little bit. It isn’t that obvious in
this part and well it’s all about puzzles.

If you like an awesome story, very nice graphics, fairytale like
music and scenery and last but not least Love brainteasers…
PLAY IT!

My rating for Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box:

Make a class, a race, find weapons, curses, kick in doors and kill monsters!!
Munchkin is a card game with a lot of humor. There are several versions of the
game. I played Munchkin Booty and Munchkin Cthulhu.

You start with a level one character, 2 door cards and 2 treasure cards. On the table
you have one pile with door cards and one pile with treasure cards. The door cards
contain creatures with different levels, classes, different races, curses, weapons etc.
The first character that ends up being level 10 wins the game. Easy as that.
You have to kick in the first door (draw the first card and put it face up on the table)
and then fight a creature, if it’s one. You can only win if you’re one level higher than the
creature and you lose if the creature is higher levelled than you are. But you can ask
help from one other player to kill the monster. But the two of you need to be a higher level
than the creature. You receive a level and treasure(s) when you killed the creature.

You can help other players, but you can screw them over as well. Some cards will give you the
opportunity to place an extra monster on the table. Curses can prevent players to receive help
from another player, disable weapons and give phobias for instance.

My rating for Munckin:

One thing, a dice and chips to keep score of the level are not included in the game.
I think that’s a bit lame, but hey! It’s still awesome..

Funkenschlag is a board game that’s all about creating power to
supply cities. You have to buy power plants to induce energy.
You have to bid for the plant of your choice. You have to buy
resources to make the plant induce energy; coal, oil, garbage,
or uranium. The cool thing; a couple of plants don’t need resources,
wind or a fusion plant are free..

The less resources on the board, the more you have to pay for them.
Every plant tells you how many resources you have to buy to provide
energy and how many houses receive energy.

After buying your plants and resources, you have to place houses, to give
the cities energy. The first house costs 10, then 15 and finally 20.
As you can figure out now, you can place 3 houses in one city
(1 house per player). Every round you have to bid on a plant (or pass),
have to buy resources (or not if you have enough to give energy to all
your houses or don’t have enough money) and expand your energy empire
(if you have enough money)

For every house you can provide energy to you receive money. The more houses,
the more money. The key is in my opinion, never buy more houses than you can
provide of energy. At the end, the player with the most houses which he or she
can provide with energy wins the game. One other thing; make sure you have enough
time to play it! One game can take up to three hours of gaming fun!

I played it two times now…and won both of them..Muahahahaha!
Damn I’m a capitalist.. *sigh*

Imagine this;
You’re in a hurry walking through the supermarket.
It’s crowded and a old woman is constantly in front of you, in the
slowest pass ever. When you want to get some cheese she’s standing
in front of the shelve, blocking your way, thinking about if she wants
some cheese and which one. You stay polite, but in your mind you
eliminated her a half hour ago.. Well that’s Trash Panic in my opinion..

Trash Panic is a puzzle game. You see in front of you a Tetris environment.
A trash can, a crane with items. The items come down slowly (not visible the first
5 seconds?! ,you can rotate the items and have to place them in the trash can.
Normally when I start playing a new game I’m enthusiastic, but now I wasn’t.
The game didn’t give me the feeling of a small kid with a new toy,
I thought it went wrong with this game when I realised that.

The first level I just started smashing things in the trash can, some items,
like the red stapler (Office space) were funny. The annoyance was present,
because some items which did smash in the beginning, refused to be
smashed later on in the level. Many times when I used the smash button,
the items kept falling down in a slow pass. But with the handicaps,
the first level was easy to finish, the second too, but after that the levels got nasty.

Big items started falling down, items like a slide, big buildings, cranes, boats and
pieces of land. One building could fill up the whole trash can..and smashing that
with small items like a violin or a rocking horse, took too much time.
That you could use explosives in your trash can was a nice help, but 9 out of 10 times,
the items turned red, but didn’t brake down and you’d still have to brake the items.

My friends couldn’t finish level 4, I did, but at level 5 I threw my towel in the ring of
frustration. The atmosphere in the game was missing, so my feelings of giving up were huge!
After 4 times of thinking, wth?! I’m a good gamer, I have to succeed, I just threw my
controller on the floor, shut off my PS3 and went to bed.

It could have been a nice game, the concept is cool, but this game as it is, A huge FAILURE!
My rating for Trash Panic:

I’m a game fanatic, but sometimes I really enjoy a puzzle break.
Bejeweled, Lumines, Tetris once and a while, mind-numbing games.
I found Numblast on PSN and I thought this would be a new game
in the line of addictive puzzle games. In my case it is.

The story is simple, you’re a small kid that figures out with a companion
that you can get energy from cubes if you place them together in some kind of way.
While you’re figuring out which cubes and numbers belong together
the cubes explode and your partner in crime turns into a monkey.
(yay!! monkeys FTW!) The storyline pretty much, you need to puzzle
to get enough energy so your partner turns back into a human being.

You can compare Numblast with Lumines, but a bit harder..
I’m fascinated by the fact that these games have simple concepts
and you get hooked easily. I can tell you..I am..My boyfriend is too.
Nice game to play before you go to sleep, or when you’re watching TV
and the annoying commercials are ruining your programme or movie.
Or when you’re travelling of course or just doing nothing at all…

My rating for Numblast:

A couple of months ago I received a small present from my
boyfriend, Diner Dash. I started playing immediately, but with
most games I start playing for a while and then I’m bored and
and well maybe I shouldn’t now that I’m sitting in front of my pc with
RSI and small square eyes!

Diner Dash, very simple game:
serve customers the right way,
make enough money and proceed to the next level.
Every 10 levels is a new restaurant with more level elements
than before and customers get more and more annoyed when
they have to wait. So it’s total chaos in restaurant 4 and after
a night of kicking and screaming, this morning I finished level 10..
*sigh* to realise that there’s is a restaurant number 5..omfg..
I’ve got 4 arms instead of 2 now, more tables, more and especially
more terrorising customers! and more snacks to serve..
Quote from eyewitness: Aaargh.. My..brain…can’t..take..this..anymore!!
My brain is in overload, so I’ll have my usual game break, before I break..

Wii Fit, is it a Game?
The mini games are, but I think it’s a good
way to cover exercise for kids.. I went to Yoga
a couple of years and had to quit because of financial
reasons and lack of time. I waited a couple of months and
bought Wii Fit. I thought “Hey, I’ve got a Wii and I want to
exercise so why not in front of my TV when I have the time”.

I was surprised that my coach could tell me that I wasn’t breathing
right or standing on the Wii Fit board like I should. Awesome!
Enthusiastic and with a lot of confidence I started all the different
moves and after an hour I was spend. It’s a wonderful feeling,
tired after work out. Taking a shower, go to bed and fall asleep
before you can say good night..

My friend started on the Wii Fit as well, just like me, she needed
some guidance in exercise so I made her an account.
Awful thing though, she didn’t exercise that much and stupid
“Planky” asked me where my friend was and what I thought of
her posture!! WTH?! It’s a Gossip thingamajingy!
Planky has a secret exercise and I nailed it the first time, I thought
it was going to be really hard and was disappointed that it was too
easy.. Well not all secrets are spectacular..

I must say, now that I’m moving and looking for a new job, my
Wii Fit board isn’t in use that much, but I will use it as soon as this
storm calms down. The nice thing now that I have the space to
do some yoga moves without bashing tables, cats or boyfriends,
so I will do my exercise soon! I hope I lost weight during the weeks
I didn’t exercise..

these games are just for men with their brains in their dicks and
started playing this game. Well I was wrong…

I love killing zombies and I thought it would be great to slay them
with samurai swords. If I could use my Wii-mote and Nunchuk as
samurai swords it would have been awesome, but NO!!!
you can only move your Wii-mote and Nunchuk up and down.
You don’t have the feeling you’re really in control of samurai swords,
it feels more like drumming. For men, you can train both arms for
optimal usage

When you enter the exit to the save room and continue playing
you can start all over with clearing the area you just cleared.
Annoying!

Enough blood and gore, I agree, but being attacked by a couple of legs?!!
WTF?! It instantly reminded me of Monty Python’s “Holy Grail”..
“It’s just a flesh wound, I’ll kick you to death!”
It’s a fact that zombies “die” when you remove their heads,
watch “Shaun Of The Dead” for the facts, but in this game headless zombies
and yes, legs attack you. Zombies attack you with chainsaws and guns and
block your samurai sword moves with their arms.
Hmm Twilight Zone ftw? I didn’t know Zombie birds were the new Zombie type.

The camera angles are annoying, I know you have to press Z to lock your
target, but it’s nice if the camera works with you, not against you! The music
is kinda funny, but frikkin’ annoying after a short period, like 2 minutes.
Mr. Cheezy was responsible. There was enough money to hire a voice actor
to tell the story between the levels, to moan one sentence of “hia hiaha hia Si”
, “he” and breathing like a maniac. I think they used a sample of man booing into
a PVC pipe and morphed it into a zombie grunt.. O wait I think I here a guy sitting on
the toilet having a hard time as well.

I was bored after 4 minutes of playing, the way you kill zombies is not exciting enough
and very repetitive. The levels aren’t spectacular at all. If you have the patience and
can be entertained by monotone stuff, you will discover some cool combos.
But for me… Hell NO! In other words, my boyfriend loves this game..

My rating for Onechanbara Bikini Zombie Slayers:
But I could play it at a friends house, but when time passed by
i didn’t visit him, so my Bioshock adventure came to
an end at the docks in Neptunes Bounty.

But Bioshock came out on the ps3 and finally after months I
bought the game to relive the adventure all over again and
go on where I once stopped playing. I know that a lot of people
wrote about this game, but the hell with it I’m doing it now!

Awesome sauce at it’s best. The environment, the atmosphere,
the music, the psycho people, the big Daddies, the little sisters,
everything is so well put together and so scary sometimes!
I must say that the switching of the plasmids is a pain in the arse
sometimes, you want to fry someone, but you’re “wearing” your
telekinetic plasmid, you switch with L1, but nothing happens
and things start flying around..Aargh sometimes, especially with
the hypnotize Daddies plasmids that you want to save up..

Well I’m having a blast, or a fry, or a freeze or a rage with this
game.. Can not wait! till “Sea Of Dreams” is in stores!!
