Sitting here on the couch chilling.
Yesterday came back from Helsinki, a 7 hour journey.
I’m looking out of the window and starting to realise that
I’ve got a garden at my disposal..Only sun will make that
even better! Well can not have everything.

Yesterday had an interview at the Adidas Store.
I don’t know how it went, I thought it was a nice interview,
but if I’ve got the job… I don’t know.
On monday I’ve got a second Interview
at the Prada Store, so hopefully I’m working soon!!
I want to work!!

In a couple of hours Peter is picking me up for a Limbo
Meet….Yes a meeting for all the people from the Limburg
part of the Star Wars club. I’m lookin forward to that.

Monkee update from Helsinki

Posted by monkee | MOnkeebizznizz | Tuesday 27 July 2010 21:34

Monkee here from sunny Helsinki..
Temperature like 30 degrees, sometimes a bit
cloudy and in the night rain and thunder..

The days did go by so fast. On Friday we went to Repocon a
convention with Larpers, Warhammer geeks, Magic Geeks,
a lecture from Friedemann Friese a board game designer and
a lot of geek toys!
Bought me some lovely cat ears, a key ring with mario sound,
a t-shirt and bag with a “mini Monkee on a big ass robot” on it.
From Jeroen I got a PC screen Darth Vader bobble head…Awesome!

On saturday we went to a Theme Parc, went on some rollercoasters
and into the haunted house, my biggest fear as a kid.. We had some
chow and headed up to Sea Life.. That was a big disappointment, because
all the fish had so little room to swim, it was sad to see.
In the evening we watched Hot Tub Time machine…Don’t watch it…

On sunday we went to the Zoo by boat. We went to see Monkeys,
Bears, Owls, Eagles,  Camels and other creatures. The surroundings
were nice. The whole zoo was located on an island.
After that we wondered around the city centre and went home.
That evening we watched Cloudy with a change of Meatballs…Watch it!

We watched 5 episodes of the IT crowd, I laughed my ass off, so it’s
worthwhile to see that. If you have the time go watch Inception as well.
But don’t get seats on the third row, you will strain your neck and do not
watch it with foreign subtitles, you’ll miss the first couple of minutes cause
it’s  in Japanese I think.

Today we went on a Tourist boat through Helsinki. It was wonderful to see
all the islands with a lot of big ass houses. One even had a seaplane infront
of it. Damn! And the sauna’s, you’ll lose count even if you try hard.
Now sitting infront of my laptop, giving you this update…Chilling, being a
bit tired. Don’t know what tomorrow will bring..but on Thursday I have to
take a plane back and check in at 7 a.m…..Ow dear..

Monkee on a trip..

Posted by monkee | MOnkeebizznizz | Friday 23 July 2010 11:45

My karma at this moment is bad! I mean really bad..
Yesterday took a train at 14:00 pm to Schiphol, I should’ve
arrived at 16:00 pm so I could check in and have some time
left to chill out…You’ll understand, that didn’t happen.

In the train to Eindhoven the driver of the train made an
emergency stop. My redbull flew off the table and I felt that
we drove over something..My first reaction “don’t look through
the window, bloodsplatter will come soon..” but “thank god or
something” that didn’t happen. But we stood still and the conductor
mentioned by intercom that we hit something…

Disaster one, you’ll understand that obviously…

After waiting till Doomsday before we could leave the train, we waited
for a taxi. It took the driver  an hour to get there I think.
Before the taxi a woman arrived with a van, wanted to drive a few of us the the
Central Station of Eindhoven so we could make the next train to Schiphol.
It was hectic, every stoplight was red, everyone was slacking on the road.
We arrived at Eindhoven Central, ran to the platform, almost lost my pants
(I lost a shitload of weight), arrived to find out there was another accident and
no trains were headed to Schiphol. And now?

I called Jeroen, his reaction ”Take a taxi now!!”
For 140 euro the taxi driver would take me to the airport,
normally you’ll pay like 300 euro with a regular cab from Eindhoven to
Schiphol. He drove me, I was sitting next to him terrified with the biggest
question of them all, Will I make the check in..

I arrived, payed the taxi driver, ran inside, almost lost my pants again..
Got at the check in and the girl behind the desk said, relax! You’re on time..
Those words were like magic to me. I’m on time!! Checked in my bag, got in the
plane, met a nice girl sitting next to me and enojoyed the screaming of 3 kids
in the plane..Damn!!

I was exhausted..I got out of the plane, I was standing on Helsinki ground!
I was so happy meeting Jeroen at the airport.
After a bus ride of  45 minutes we came home and had a nice walk
through the centre of Helsinki and after that went to bed…I couldn’t sleep…

Yawn, but not yet

Tomorrow catching a flight to Helsinki!!
I can’t take the situation anymore..
I need a different environment and I will have
that by tomorrow evening.

My friend’s already filled his fridge with Rekorderlig!
A strawberry-Lime cider I drank in Copenhagen.
Awesome drink, everybody should try it once.

Now I can’t sleep, one of the great mysteries you’ll
undergo when your life is one friggin’ disaster..
So I’ll be one ugly ass zombie by tomorrow,
hopefully customs will not deny me access to the plane.
They can be afraid that I’ll order brains on my flight..lol.
Well I’ve got enough time to sleep during the day.

I will continue listening to music now, ’till my battery is
dead. Next post will be from Helsinki \o/

It’s obvious, When it rains, it pours..

Today had some trouble with forms, so I have to wait
’till my new adress is valid..I have to wait for those forms.
The Housing Association has to aprove that I can live with
my dad ’till I found my own place..Yes I’m not joking..
So now I can’t find a job at The CWI because I’m not an
official citizen..

So I thought let’s find some nice, affordable places on the
interwebs I can rent when I’ve got a job again…
Well happy happy joy joy..
The only places affordable: for people with the age of 18-23 or
people with the age of 50+
Discrimination comes in all shapes and sizes..

I’m glad my mother invited me for a ride on her Suzuki Intruder
so all my sorrow could fly away for a couple of hours.
Now I’m at my dad’s home, thinking about “What to do now”
Sleep? What’s that : (

Tomorrow I’m packing for Helsinki..searching for my stuff in
big bags in my room or in boxes in the attic is going to be my
main occupation.

Where’s the simple life? Please can my simple life report itself
at the main desk..It’s time to begin!!!
