Hello Folks!

Monkee back in action, it’s been a while.
Working hard at a Sacha Shoe store.
I’ve got to get my biological rhythm in place now.
I’ve to get up early in the morning and in the evening when
I arrive home, I’m spend. We still get a lot of visits of friends,
but I have to say that it isn’t easy anymore now that I’m working.
Don’t get me wrong I do want to see my friends, but I hope they
don’t mind that I’m not the hyper Monkee they used to know.

I really want to do my own work after I’m done working, but
for now that’s out of the question. I’ve got some energy left to
eat my dinner and use the remote control of my TV, but that’s
about it. But I’m confident that I will combine my powers to be
able to go to work and create games in my spare time with friends.
I will.

In the meantime our shower is still borked…argh…It’s been like 3
months ago and I’m still showering at a friend’s place next door.
Hopefully at the end of this week our shower will be fixed.
I want my own shower back!!

De Efteling!

8:00 am, captain’s log, too damn early!!
I was running and jumping around, Dennis didn’t feel
like waking up. De Efteling is a theme park in Kaatsheuvel.
We all went there as a kid, it’s magical, now we’re big kids and
it’s still magical.

But 9:00 am is a bit harsh on a Sunday and when everybody
arrived @ el Casa del Monkees’  a lot of coffee had to be poured
down everybody’s throats. We went to De Efteling with two cars
and had a lot of fun driving, but then a big-ass traffic jam just one
kilometer away from the theme park was about to spoil the day.
But Monkee kept everybody positive and we kept on driving, well
standing still. We should have arrived at our destination at 10:00 am
but we arrived at 13:00 pm.

The first ride was the toilet and of course the men could go in and out
of the cheap toilets and Candice and I had to wait 20 minutes before
we could be released of the pressure.  After that we decided to go to
Villa Volta, a ride where a room is rotating around the audience. The
ride is amazing. We had to wait for 30 minutes, but that went by really
quickly. But before we started the awesome rides we visited the Diorama,
a small mountain village with a lot of miniature trains. Yay! *bah humbug*
Dennis and Vincent really liked it, so the rest of us were waiting
for like half an hour because they were glued to the glass of the Diorama window.

After that Vogel Rok (a roller coaster in the dark), Spookslot (a haunted mansion),
De Piranha (a white water course, we got totally wet..awesome),
De Halve Maen (a ship that swings to an 90 degree angle), Fish and chips break,
The Flying Dutchman (a roller coaster in the dark that ends up in the water) and
finally we ended the day in the boat of De Fata Morgana (a relaxing, magical boat ride
through the Arabian Nights). We had to stand in line a lot, I think all together we spend
half the day waiting, but we couldn’t care less. It was crowded, but it wasn’t annoying,
because we had each other for company.

So my final words are going to be:
Dennis, Vincent, Candice, Mark, Arnoud, Huub and Tom, Thank you all for an awesome
day! I love u guys and girlie!

Monkee with a toothache :(

Posted by monkee | MOnkeebizznizz | Sunday 18 October 2009 23:26

DAMN! How can a living being survive with a toothache!!
On November 2nd I have an appointment with the dentist for a
root canal treatment, but 4 days ago I had a severe pain in my mouth.
I couldn’t sleep, stuffed myself with ibuprofen, but it didn’t help.

After two nights of no sleep, I couldn’t take it anymore.
I called the dentist and made an emergency appointment.
I went to the dentist, got an anesthetic and he started drilling.
Not a painful procedure, but the smell that came out of the molar
wasn’t exactly cherry blossom. I was embarrassed …

The dentist invited Dennis to have a look, his remark was that
he’d never seen a hole like that in me…hehehe…
After the treatment I went home with a numb mouth.
I was relieved I didn’t feel the pain anymore, but when I went to
bed, I almost died… The pain was so bad, Dennis called the
emergency medical practice for advice; I had to take some
paracetamol and there was no more we could do..I just had to
put up with the pain..

I woke up every hour, but the next morning I woke up at
6:30 am and went to work.
I’m in possession of  a temporary filling that is crumbling
in my mouth and November 2nd the dentist is going to
finish what he started. *sigh* hopefully painless…
