Karel had a wis list with a budget and after a couple of hours with
fashion femme wenders, he got everything he wanted and for even less
money than he wanted to spent. Awesome sauce! He had his wishes come
true and I had mine; being a personal stylist..
As a Thank you he gave me a pair of shoes…wooohooo…

Gok’s fashion fix

Posted by monkee | Style | Monday 27 July 2009 16:05

I really love programmes on tv that give me inspiration.
I love fashion and a couple of months ago I discovered Gok’s
Fashion fix. Yes I know, this program is on TV for years..
I’m didn’t watch that much TV the last couple of months.

it’s so cool to finally have someone with affordable fashion sense.
You can buy so many clothes, but if you want to buy awesome stuff, you
have to pay for it big time! I’ve got a sewing machine, so I’m going to pimp
my old clothes and save money! woohoo.. Thanks Gok..

What’s up with MOnkee

Posted by monkee | MOnkeebizznizz | Monday 20 July 2009 16:10

Weekend is over and all my stuff is moved to Utrecht.
A lot of stuff..*sigh* maybe too much stuff..definitely.
The living room is fixed, but the second floor is Tetris in
real life. Well good thing that I have to clean up,
refresh my life and say goodbye to stuff..Like my old shoes.

My oven is finally in use again! Made some muffins a la Monkee
and they’re awesome like always..hehehe. Next evil plan, Spekkoek.
Indonesian cake, from scratch. It’s so awesome, that I want to make it
myself. I’ve got a really old Indonesian Cookbook, I will enjoy my free
time in the kitchen!

Now settle in this house, clean up, find a new job and a new chapter
of my life can take off.

* My little fighter, goodbye, take care, love u…rest in peace.

LOL of the day Thanks 2: Hessel the great

Games: Trash Panic

Posted by monkee | GAmes | Thursday 16 July 2009 12:19

Imagine this;
You’re in a hurry walking through the supermarket.
It’s crowded and a old woman is constantly in front of you, in the
slowest pass ever. When you want to get some cheese she’s standing
in front of the shelve, blocking your way, thinking about if she wants
some cheese and which one. You stay polite, but in your mind you
eliminated her a half hour ago.. Well that’s Trash Panic in my opinion..

Trash Panic is a puzzle game. You see in front of you a Tetris environment.
A trash can, a crane with items. The items come down slowly (not visible the first
5 seconds?! ,you can rotate the items and have to place them in the trash can.
Normally when I start playing a new game I’m enthusiastic, but now I wasn’t.
The game didn’t give me the feeling of a small kid with a new toy,
I thought it went wrong with this game when I realised that.

The first level I just started smashing things in the trash can, some items,
like the red stapler (Office space) were funny. The annoyance was present,
because  some items which did smash in the beginning, refused to be
smashed later on in the level. Many times when I used the smash button,
the items kept falling down in a slow pass. But with the handicaps,
the first level was easy to finish, the second too, but after that the levels got nasty.

Big items started falling down, items like a slide, big buildings, cranes, boats and
pieces of land. One building could fill up the whole trash can..and smashing that
with small items like a violin or a rocking horse, took too much time.
That you could use explosives in your trash can was a nice help, but 9 out of 10 times,
the items turned red, but didn’t brake down and you’d still have to brake the items.

My friends couldn’t finish level 4, I did, but at level 5 I threw my towel in the ring of
frustration. The atmosphere in the game was missing, so my feelings of giving up were huge!
After 4 times of thinking, wth?! I’m a good gamer, I have to succeed, I just threw my
controller on the floor, shut off my PS3 and went to bed.

It could have been a nice game, the concept is cool, but this game as it is, A huge FAILURE!
My rating for Trash Panic:

Monkee’s day of life

Posted by monkee | MOnkeebizznizz | Tuesday 14 July 2009 11:05

Two weeks of don’t having a job. I’m applying my ass off.
I thought the whole crisis was BS, but now I’m in it myself.
I’ve got 9 years of work experience and I don’t like being
unemployed. I really hope I will have a job soon!

Yesterday went to my “old” crib to feed my rats and have a
look at the blast zone that was my room. Damn I still have to move
a lot of stuff, I’m happy when that’s over *sigh*
After the realisation I went to the city with Dennis and Jeroen
and had a piece of apple-pie with whipped cream at Dudok.
We enjoyed ourselves at the American book store and went
for dinner at Popocatepetl, a nice Mexican place.

Took a train back to Utrecht and watched Criminal Intent,
awesome to end your day with. I’m still hooked on Numblast
and getting better every minute..hehehe.

Tonight we’re gonna have ourselves a good time;
Call of Chutuhlu!

Movie: Stigmata

Posted by monkee | MOvies | Sunday 12 July 2009 11:46

Horror movies,  I can’t take them most of the time,
but I love to see them. Imagine a girl on the couch
with a pillow in her hands..that’s me..

Yesterday Stigmata was on TV, the genre; Horror.
I was home alone and wanted to watch this movie,
I screened my room for the nearest pillow, but
they better could have changed the genre into Thriller.
I was surprised Patricia Arquette played the role of Frankie,
a girl that works in a barbershop and loves to party.
She receives a package from her mum with a rosary, from
then on strange things happen with Frankie. She starts bleeding
from her wrists, head, back and feet eventually and with help
from a vicar knows that she’s suffering from Stigmata.

Is he able to save her from dying?
I have to say, the message of the movie is Awesome Sauce!!
Horror…No WAY!

My rating for Stigmata:
